MAY 2009 FYI An electronic newsletter of SylvaniaVET Be sure to give your dog and cat its monthly heartworm preventive and it is time to start Frontline Plus for flea and tick control SITTIN PRETTY IN SYLVANIA GALA will be held on Thursday, May 7 in downtown Sylvania. The public is invited to the event from 6-8 PM. Prior to the event, the downtown merchants will celebrate Spring Delights starting at 4 PM. Main Street will be closed off so everyone can view the over 40 decorated benches and graze on food and desserts. SylvaniaVET has an entry in the decorated park bench theme event sponsored by the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce. SylvaniaVET’s bench was designed and painted by Julia Johnston, a Sylvania resident, SylvaniaVET client and the Face of Fox Toledo. Julia is also an accomplished faux painter and muralist. We highly recommend her to anyone seeking high quality living artwork for their home or business. Our bench will become a permanent fixture near the front entrance of the hospital. Everyone that has seen the bench raves about its beauty, so we are sure you will like it. Following the gala there will be the People’s Choice Awards. Applications to vote will be available at the gala, in the Blade and other media, and we hope to have them at the office. Please vote Julia’s beautiful bench the winner of the People’s Choice award. |
