Wellness visits are part of the annual exam when necessary vaccines are given, stool samples are taken and blood tests are ran. A wellness exam is the most important portion of the annual checkup. The doctor will give your pet a complete physical exam from head to tail. Diet, weight, dental care, exercise and any changes in your pet are noted. Any doctor recommendations will be discussed at this time. It is the perfect opportunity to address any questions or concerns you have regarding your pet. We recommend an annual wellness visit as preventative care.
As animals age, a second wellness visit may be recommended by the doctor. Remember that pet ages at least four years in human terms every calendar year.
Our six month boosters for Lepto and Bordetella enable you to have your pet examined a second time each year. This visit is usually with a technician. You can request a doctor’s appointment for the visit if you prefer.
