We have separate x-ray and imaging rooms. Our x-ray room is equipped with a digital x-ray machine. Digital radiology enables us to take more films for the same fee. It enables us to manipulate images that enhance the diagnostic capabilities. We can also send the digital images to an expert radiologist if there is a need for an advanced opinion. Digital radiology is far superior to the old film method radiology.
One very exciting benefit of the digital radiographs is that we can send films by e-mail to the doctor on call. This means that the doctor may not have to come in for a case that we have in the hospital after hours.
