Pathology is the evaluation of cells for disease.
Most of our lab work is done right in our own fully equipped laboratory, which enables us to have the results the same day. Our lab staff uses a Veterinary Chemistry Expert machine to run blood chemistry panels. We are able to get accurate thyroid testing, cortisol levels, fructosamines, progesterone blood levels and much more in just a few hours. Our Mascot CBC counting machine gives us a very accurate five-part white blood cell count plus a detailed red blood cell count and assessment. We are also able to run urinalysis tests to properly assess and determine if your pet has a urinary tract infection. Fecal tests, heartworm checks, feline leukemia and feline immuno-virus testing are some examples of tests we run on a routine basis.
