Ophthalmology is the diagnosis and treatment of conditions and diseases of the eye.
Irritation, allergies, infections, glaucoma, corneal ulcers, lenticular sclorosis and cataracts are a few of the eye problems we are able to diagnose. Some of these are minor while others are far more serious. We are reluctant to delay evaluating eye problems or to recommend home remedies. A serious eye problem can endanger your pet’s vision or cause unnecessary pain. We can treat many of these problems with medicine or surgery. If we are unable to treat a particular affliction we will refer you to an eye specialist from Michigan Vet Specialists that we consult with on a regular basis.
