Dr. Kate is a graduate of The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and completed her undergraduate degrees at The University of Findlay. She worked in New York before finding her “Vet-topia” at Sylvania Veterinary Hospital in April 2008.
Professionally, she finds excitement in the surgery suite, though she also enjoys ophthalmology and responsible reproduction. Outside of the hospital she loves photography, travel, hiking, horseback riding, theater and cooking. Her favorite places in the world are Maui and New York City, and she hopes to finally get a stamp in her passport soon!
She is proud owner of what is collectively known as The Zoo – currently consisting of 4 dogs (Mr. PeeBody, Gus-Undheit, Chowder and Extra Dog), 2 cats (Hiccup and Charley), 2 rabbits (Rabbiteenie and Quidnunc – whom she brought back with her from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina’s animal rescue efforts) and a 50-year-old Box Turtle named Toby.
